Why affirmations for creativity matter
To achieve success as a creative your mindset is EVERYTHING. Henry Ford said “Whether you think you can or think you can’t you are right,” and repetition is how affirmations lead to program beliefs that can work for you, not against you.
If you think about it, bringing thoughts into words is the first step of creation, therefore it is important to intentionally make your words match the reality you want to create to set yourself up for success.
You are constantly creating your future with your unconscious beliefs, and it’s time to start doing it on purpose.
So, let’s dive into how affirmations can assist you with that 😉
How mantras and affirmations work
Affirmations work as powerful tools for creation and transformation that help you focus your attention on the reality you are aiming to create instead of fixating on what you don’t want (hello current situation!).
Having your eyes on the prize is huge to set things into motion, yes “Where attention goes, energy flows” and if you want better results, the key is to start involving some feelings into the equation.
This means, picture how it feels to be living the situation stated in your affirmations, take your time, and let this mental movie take you to that place of feeling good feelings.
Through repetition, visualization, and consistency, a mantra will start to feel more and more familiar to your subconscious mind (#integration). Once it turns from just words into a belief, that’s when the magic starts to happen!
Affirmations to boost your creativity
Here are 7 powerful mantras that will support you in creating anything you want. Read them, repeat them, and see yourself living in that reality.
1. “I can see the life that I want, and I know I can make it happen.”
Your dreams and aspirations are not given to you randomly. Finding true fulfillment involves following your heart’s desires.
This affirmation for creativity is also about strengthening your Self-Belief, because the more you believe in yourself the better your performance will be. If you believe you can win you will put yourself in a position to win.
You are worthy of your dreams and whatever you wish for you can have it. #Facts

Pro Tip: Set a personal vision and write down on a piece of paper what you want to create. It could be what you want from your day or a project you’re working on.
Visualize the ideal outcome happening, feel the feelings, and repeat this affirmation to give it extra power. Then take action! 😉
2. “I make starting my daily ritual.”
One little step ahead is way better than 0, the little things you do always add up to something more. But in order to get there you simply have to start.
A full day’s work or any particular project contains many sub-tasks.
When you focus on just taking the first small step, rather than the sum of everything you have to do, you make the task more attainable.
From there, you’ll create a chain reaction of momentum to get things flowing in the direction of your dreams.

Pro Tip: Set your starting point like a GPS device, and clearly outline the first small step that will generate progress toward your goal.
Repeat this affirmation with your action step in mind and go crush it! you will be well on your way to making that dream destination a present reality. Just start.
3. “I have what it takes already within me.”
You can always do something with what you have and start where you are at now.
Many people think they need external validation, or some type of event to let them know they are “ready” to be able to do something.
This simply isn’t true.
There is no right time for anything. You have to make it the right time, and everything you need is already inside you.
When you focus your energy on how to bring out the best of yourself, rather than seek external validation, you will amaze yourself with what you’re capable of.

Pro Tip: Make a list of all the positive qualities you like about yourself that can be super helpful on starting a new dream project, then repeat this affirmation and get excited to discover a bunch of new qualities and capacities you didn’t know you had in you.
Woop woop it is time to reveal new superpowers!
4. “I am willing to see the unlimited possibilities that exist all around me.”
When you show up, the universe shows up to match your efforts.
It may seem like magical circumstances start to happen, but even neuroscientists explain this phenomenon as the “Reticular Activating System”.
What the heck is the Reticular Activating System?
A group of nerves in your brain whose duty is to find in the external world: people, experiences, and information that supports and matches your internal belief system.
So, the RAS is pretty much like your fairy godmother when it comes to manifesting.
If you intentionally choose what you want to believe and focus on good and positive things, they will show up, because your brain is actively seeking them out.

Pro Tip: Oftentimes we don’t need to start with the “how”, it will show itself along the way once we’re open to receiving.
Repeat this affirmation whenever you start a new project but are not quite sure how to finish it.
This will help you keep an open mind and heart, let yourself be guided, and intentionally co-create with your RAS and with the rest of the universe.
5. “My creative potential is endless.”
You cannot possibly run out of ideas. EVER.
Every moment of your life offers experiences and information that can inspire new ideas and expand your creativity in proportion to your willingness to learn and grow.
There’s no limit, except for the ones you choose to impose on yourself. This affirmation is a statement to say good-bye to those self-limiting beliefs, start taking inspired action and trust the process.
Having said that, creativity is a muscle you need to flex to make the best use of it.

Pro Tip: Repeat this affirmation whenever you want to learn how to do something new.
Know that while you keep feeding your mind and soul through knowledge and practice things can only get better and better.
Practice writing 5-10 ideas each day in your notebook or notes app on your phone. The ideas can be about anything! Choose random topics like: “What would I name a restaurant if I had one?” “What are 5-10 app ideas I could create?” “What are 5-10 ways I could surprise my significant other?”
Just the exercise of creating the ideas daily will keep the muscle strong!
6. “What is done in love is well done.”
The passion you infuse into every task or project makes it unique. Loving what you do is indeed the first step to creating great work, but here’s something even more interesting…
The law of cause and effect states that what you put out there, ripples in the Universe touch others, and comes back to you with a dose of that similar essence.
And well, that’s a freaking good reason to fuel everything you do with love.
But this affirmation for creativity is also about reminding yourself that regardless if the end result meets your expectations or not, any project done in love is a meaningful one that helps you evolve and most importantly to stay true to yourself.

Pro Tip: Repeat this affirmation whenever you feel hesitant about creating or sharing your work with the world. Use it to set an intention before starting any project, then pour your heart out and rejoice in the process.
Your work matters. You make this a better place by sharing the magic inside of you through your art and collaboration.
7. “I am the Joy of creating.”
My friend Moni from unleash your creator gifted me this one during an art therapy sesh and it resonated deeply in my heart.
If you are procrastinating, chances are that your focus is misplaced, making you forget about the amazing feeling of joy that kicks in when you take action and momentum starts to build.
This statement is about switching your focus from fear and stuckness to remembering the glory of flow.
Whatever your craft is, it’s always ready to take you for a ride on the path of joy. Wanna come? 🙂

Pro Tip: Our brain is always looking for rewards. Use this affirmation to connect with that rewarding state that awaits for you in the middle of a creative process.
Let it move you into the so-called “zone” where fear and hesitation disappear and all there is, is you and your art.
How to create your own powerful affirmations for creativity
The more personal the affirmation the more powerful it will be.
If you want to create your own powerful affirmations ask yourself:
What do I need to believe in order to create what I want?
Then write it down in present tense as if you were already living it.
You can use the words “I am” or start in a different way as long as you write them in the positive and avoid words like “can’t,” “not,” “never,” “don’t,” etc.
For example, “I am always on time” is a better affirmation than “I am never late”.

What to do when your affirmations feel like lies?
Feelings are crucial to make mantras work so, if you notice that something doesn’t feel “right” or feel like your affirmations are hard to believe, you can tweak them by using some of these powerful words:
- I decide.
- I intend.
- I choose.
- I can.
- I am willing.
These words make the “integration” process smoother for your brain and help you create more believable affirmations.

For example, if saying “I make starting my daily habit” feels weird, try “I decide to make starting my daily habit”.
Or Instead of “I make my dreams happen” what about “I choose to make my dreams happen.”
The key is to create a statement that feels good as you are saying it and every time you visualize it, you can feel your vibration rising up.
Turn your own affirmations into cute graphics
One of the best and easiest ways to start reprograming your subconscious mind is by keeping your affirmations in places where you can see them every day, like your desk, bathroom wall, or phone and computer screen, so why not make it cute!? 🙊
